GEO services: get cited in AI answers

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the work of raising the chance that ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI Overviews cite your site as a source. We measure with our free GEO test first, then close the gaps in priority order.

What is GEO and how is it different from SEO?

SEO aims to rank your page in Google’s result list. GEO aims to have your site named as a source inside the answer an AI assistant generates. They are not alternatives: Google states that no special optimization is required for AI features such as AI Overviews and that SEO best practices still apply (Google Search Central). That is why every GEO project starts from a solid technical SEO base.

What raises the chance of being cited?

The 2023 “GEO: Generative Engine Optimization” study by Princeton and Georgia Tech researchers reported that methods such as adding statistics, quotations and sources increased visibility by up to 40% on the queries tested (arXiv 2311.09735). This is not a guarantee; assistants pick sources based on the question and competitors. Our work focuses on strengthening these measurable signals.

“There is no shortcut to appearing in AI answers; content has to be findable, trustworthy and quotable.” — Our team’s working principle

How does the process work?

  1. Measure (week 1): we report the current state with the free GEO, AI readiness and SEO tests.
  2. Priorities: findings are ranked by impact and effort into a written plan.
  3. Implement (weeks 2–4): we make the technical fixes and rewrite your 5–10 most important pages with you.
  4. Re-measure: we rerun the same tests and report before/after scores.

What does our GEO test measure?

Our free GEO test runs more than 30 checks across 6 layers and scores them out of 100:

  • AI discovery: robots.txt access for 6 search bots, llms.txt and the sitemap
  • Organization schema, at least 3 sameAs profiles and a knowledge-graph link
  • Sentences with numeric data, external sources, quotes and tables
  • Author, Person schema, publish and update dates
  • Content updated within the last 12 months and sitemap lastmod values
  • Question headings, FAQ schema and 15–80 word summary paragraphs

How long until results show?

Technical fixes show in the tests immediately. AI assistants re-crawling your site and reflecting it in answers can take weeks, depending on the assistant and how often your site is crawled. The monthly monitoring plan measures your scores automatically every month.

Common questions

How long does a GEO project take?

Measurement and the priority list are ready in the first week; technical fixes and content work on your 5–10 most important pages usually take 2–4 weeks, depending on site size and content readiness.

Do I need a new website for GEO?

Usually not. Changes to robots.txt, schema, author details and content on your current site may be enough. If the site structure blocks AI bots from reading content (for example content loaded only with JavaScript), we may recommend a rebuild.

Do you guarantee appearing in ChatGPT?

No. No agency can guarantee appearing in AI answers. We strengthen the measurable signals that raise citation chances and report the change with before/after scores.
